The Wake

Jonathan a well-meaning but hopeless misfit makes an unexpected arrival at the wake of his
best friend’s father. Initially intending to offer his support Jonathan instead retreats to the
front yard uncomfortable with the outpouring of grief from the mourners. He meets Charles
the eight-year-old son of the deceased who is also hiding out and the two of them form an
unlikely friendship.
