Gandhi's children are several hundred boys -orphans, runaways or abandoned; about half of them are held on court orders. The 'real slumdogs' they are accommodated, fed and educated in the Prayas Children's School for Boys run by a non-profit NGO in a poor area on the outskirts of Delhi. David MacDougall spent months filming in the school. He has an accomplished filmmaker's eye for the image but refuses conventional devices of documentary filmmaking such as commentary.
